Meet our Team Member
Eric J. Moses
Eric is the Executive Director. He is among the founding members of CEDED. Eric started working for CEDED as Resource Centre Manager while still called Yei Community Resource Centre way back in 2003. He watched the organization transform from solely a resource center into a vibrant National NGO.
Eric initiates, plan, organize, direct and manage projects creatively; implement, monitor and evaluate project activities. Together with the program staffs, Eric actively engage the communities, local and state government officials and other stakeholders in building local democratic governance through CEDED’s participatory approaches.
Eric holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Nkumba University, Uganda and is pursuing a Masters degree in local governance and human rights in Uganda Martyrs University.
Eric attended Governance – Accountability, Policy Analysis and Advocacy, Civic Education, Project Planning and Management and Development Communication training in MS-TCDC Arusha Tanzania. Eric also attended Finance management for NGOs training in Nairobi Kenya.
Dara Felix
Felix is the program officer. He joined CEDED in 2011 till to date. He has good knowledge of transparency and accountability, finance and management, project planning and management, procurement and logistics and advocacy. Felix is self-motivated and can work in different cultures and environment under minimum supervision. He is dedicated to work with high morale.
Felix oversees CEDED core programs. In the programs, Felix understands the technical and professional aspects of work and updates knowledge, analyze issues and make systematic and rational judgment based on information, motivate others to reach team goals, organize and schedule events, activities and resources and, Monitor time scale and plans. He also initiates new programs, write proposals and ensure they are well implemented.
Felix holds a Masters of Arts of Local Governance and Human Rights Degree from, Uganda Martyrs University – Uganda and a Bachelors Degree of Procurement and Logistics Management, Nkumba University – Uganda. He has attended training in psychosocial wellness on personal healing and transformation program, Entebbe – Uganda, claiming spaces – tactical tools for human rights defenders program, Juba – South Sudan, East Africa Human Rights Program, Arusha – Tanzania, Youth Leadership Forum, Dar es Salaam – Tanzania.
Gordon T. Abel
Gordon is the Finance/Administrative Officer. Gordon joined CEDED since 2015 till to date. Gordon is a professional, diligent, flexible and creative individual with significant experience in the Field of Accounting, Finance and Management.
Gordon spearheads the annual budgetary process, generate financial control tools, accountability standards, procedures and records and ensures those tools are applied in the day to day running of CEDED. Gordon also generate financial management information for stakeholders and initiate a review of CEDED’s policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to.
Over time with consistent practice, Gordon has gained huge experience enabling him to perform his duties and roles as required even in challenging environment. This motivation is derived in seeing his inputs producing positive results that are life changing to him as a personality and CEDED. Gordon is passionate to offer the best services to CEDED so as to achieve its goals and objectives.
Gordon holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting from Makerere University Business School.
